Maryland, USA – April 24, 2025 – The organizers of the highly anticipated Lagos DMV Afrobeats Festival wish to announce a strategic date change for the 2025 edition of the festival. After a series of meetings, consultations, and deliberations with key stakeholders and sponsors, it has been unanimously agreed to reschedule the festival from its original date of May 25th, 2025, to August 29th – September 1st, 2025.

This new timeline aligns the festival with African Heritage Month in Maryland, offering a more symbolic, meaningful, and accessible celebration of African culture and music. The decision also considers stadium availability, allowing us to host a more expansive and impactful experience for attendees.

Festival Schedule:

Day 1 (August 29, 2025): Arrival and Cultural Tour

Day 2 (August 30, 2025): The Discuss / Meet & Greet / Glitz and Glamour

Day 3 (August 31, 2025): The Main Festival – Featuring Stars of Afrobeats from Across the Globe

Day 4 (September 1, 2025 – Labor Day): Farewell Dinner Party & African Culture Personality Awards (ACPA)

This shift will enable all stakeholders to be better prepared and help embed the festival firmly within Maryland’s African Heritage Month celebrations—celebrating identity, music, and culture in grand style.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we strive to deliver a world-class festival that aligns with our mission and objectives.

Artist lineup and ticketing updates will be released shortly.
